Ghost Post

A lumpy white ghost with a single large black eye that resembles the Foresight Studio logo. It holds an envelope, and says "Psssst..." like it's trying to get your attention discreetly.

Hi there! I've finally moved from Substack to Ghost, and Tomorrow//Today is now Foresight Post. If you're receiving this email, no action is needed. If you're not receiving this email, well, you should sign up!

Here's a quick update on what's going on at Foresight Studio. It's been a busy handful of months.

  • Foresight Studio now has its own dedicated home on the internet, with a store launching soon. Check it out at foresight-studio.com.
  • I released a super-minimal version of Edgewood Paranormal Investigation Club, a show-and-tell game about a group of high school students solving bizarre mysteries around Edgewood High while also navigating social dynamics and their uncertain identities. Get it for free/pay-what-you-want on itch.io.

Something weird is going on at Edgewood High, but EPIC is on the case.
  • The first round of handouts I'm working on for the updated edition of The Between released last month, and the next sets are coming through the end of this year/early next year. I hear pre-orders will open soon(-ish?) for folks who missed backing, so keep an eye out.
  • One of the first full books I laid out, Public Access, recently became pay-what-you-want on DriveThruRPG.
  • Kind of belated, but Triangle Agency won 3 gold ENNIEs at Gen Con in August: Best Rules, Best Writing, and Best Game!
  • Speaking of Triangle Agency, I'll be at PaxU next weekend with the triangle team. Find us at booth 4234.
  • Last but certainly not least, I'm so excited about how the new version of The Firmament is coming along. My initial plan was to roll it out on itch, but I can tell it wants a physical release. More on that later.
A draft cover of a game called "the Firmament." It features an enormous pearlescent hand reach from the top to the bottom of the image, a faint blue maze inscribed on the arm. A bony, insectoid thing weaves around it, from the top left to the bottom of the image. A faint grid is visible in the background. At the bottom, in a funky, slightly occult/Judeo-Christian flavored font, are the words "the Firmament," and below that, in small sans serif font, "Ben Mansky." On the left is text in white: "The creatures of the earth have long hungered to reach the chambers of heaven. Now, they've somehow gained a foothold on the moon. From there, they blindly claw their way into the firmament, the maze that separates the waters above from the world below. You cannot let this happen. Descend through the firmament and cast these foolish children into the deep. A tarot-based roleplaying game for a 2-3 hour session of play, solo or with up to 7 players."
Here's the latest draft of the front & back cover - still lots more to do!

As I get things up and running with the site, store, etc., I'll have a lot more updates on the way, including some design process blogs, a few deep dives, and (crowdfunding???) plans for 2026. We'll see, maybe I'll even manage monthly newsletters. Regardless, I'm happy to have you along for the ride.

Looking to the future,

Ben @ Foresight Studio
